Truck of the day

Well I made it home after another one of those runs. I showed up at a grower in Santa Maria California around 7 pm Friday night. I use to live there, so I got to go to dinner with my parents. Then I went to pick up my strawberries at 8 am Saturday morning. The first person to check-in, and you guessed it. I didn't get to a dock till almost midnight. The last truck loaded, they shut off the lights, locked the doors and was standing at the gate waiting to lock up before I actually moved the truck from the dock. So if you know anything about me by now, you know I had to be difficult. I sat there for about a half an hour, filling out paperwork. They finally came up to me and told me I had to leave. So I told then that I couldn't move my truck until my dispatch was satisfied with my load. I didn't bother to tell them that I didn't bother to inform my dispatch that I was loaded. Wanted to save that for the morning. See, I'm getting tired of sitting at a grower all day long, getting loaded really late at night and then running till early morning again. I know when I'm suppose to sleep, but I'm done with this letting my whole life revolve around a truck.
