Unbelievable

<p>As an over the road truck driver, I'm paid by the mile. Not by the hour. Not even by the miles driven, but by the miles from one city to another.

So lets say I have to take a run from Ontario CA to Fontana CA. I could end up driving 30 miles and get paid for 1. This isn't why I desided to write tonight. But I felt I needed to throw that in.

Today I shut down with 10 minutes left on my 14 hour clock. I'll explain that some other time. Except to tell you that as a driver I can only work 14 hours a day.

Anyway, in 13 hours and 50 minutes I was only about to drive 250 miles because of sitting on the docks all day. (Don't get paid to sit on the dock) while I was getting unloaded in Tracy CA they sent me a plan to pick up a load at General Mills in Lodi CA going to Corinne UT.

Well when I got unloaded I had 2 hours available on my 14, so when they sent me the dispatch information I looks at the load and delivery info. Lodi to Corinne. Lets go.

An hour later I'm in Lodi picking up the load I was planned on. BUT. When I sent my load information to them I was told I had the wrong load. Then dispatch calls me and we discuss the load. See, both loads pickup the same place and time. Deliver the same place and time, weight the same. There's absolutely no reason to have changed my load, not to mention that fact that once I got my load I have 30 minutes to find a legal place to park for the night.

So I don't know what they want to do about this load. And really don't care. I'm going to bed.

Good night all
